Anniversaries, School, and the Hunger Games!

I promise I haven't forgotten about this thing here, that may or may not have potential to be called a blog. In my last post, I wrote about my goals and "resolutions" for 2012, one of them being to get A's and B's in all my classes. Well now folks, I start school tomorrow and I am shit-myself excited. I'm starting at a new school with a clean slate and the potential to do really well! This semester I am taking; Bio, Bio Lab, Elementary Algebra (math sucks!), and United States History (online!). They're all "CORE" classes and important and absolutely necessary in completely my goal of transferring in a year.

Also, Joshua and I celebrated our SECOND anniversary on January 11th. I understand there are many couples who will laugh at me making a big deal out of two years...but c'monn. We're 21(me) and 20 (him). That's a long time for people our age. Give us the benefit of the doubt. (: The week of our anniversary, we were both insanely busy. My work schedule is sporadic and awkward & he was at Service Writing School, yes peeps he works in the auto care business, so we were absolutely not going to see each other at all. On The day, he had the prettiest flowers sent to my work...with the permission of my boss. You see, I'm a nanny. I work in someone's HOUSE. A private residence. Another family's personal space. Amazing man I have. I know I do. So in return and with the permission of his parents, I decorated his room. Streamers...EVERYWHERE.

Our weekend? You know I live in Southern California. Like, THE heart of SoCal...a stones throw away from Angels Stadium & the Honda Center and a ten minute drive to Disneyland. So thats where we went. The ol' DLP & DCA. It also helps when your dad works for the mouse and can get you in for free whenever you want. I really don't know how people travel and pay for hotels, tickets, food, AND souveniers. I don't travel and get in for free and it's still an easy hundred! Mad props to you guys.

On a non-related side note: Tomorrow will be exactly TWO months until The Hunger Games is released into theaters. I finished the series today. So.Stoked.

xoxo.

It's After Christmas...

And yet another 20 days has passed. My Christmas was, although busy, was fantastic and fun. I got many fantastic gifts, for which I am thankful; even though my favorite part is picking and choosing for every member of Josh and I's families. I love walking into a store, going back on your memory and trying to think of all the things that person likes or enjoys doing. (:

Our festivities began on December 23rd, with my Dad's celebration/get-together thingy. We ate dinner, opened gifts, and had desert...BIRTHDAY CAKE! We always reading from the Bible and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. That's my favorite part. This year, I participated in the singing, reading, and gift opening; but not the eating...well, I had some bread. But, I don't know if that counts. Long story, short: I got the stomach flu. Not like, Oh I Puked Twice Now I Think I'm Okay, stomach flu. I had the, I'm Puking Up Anything & Everything In My Stomach Plus Some, stomach flu...intense stomach pains included. Needless to say, I ended up in the hospital at 4am on Friday (THE 23rd). Mostly because of the pain. They gave me anti-vomit and pain killing meds as well as fluid through an IV. I came home and slept from 6a-3p. I was tired. Josh got lots of gift cards, and I got new TOMS to add to my growing collection.

Theen, we drove to Joshua's moms. Spent the night. Went to ANOTHER family party. Stayed way too late, came home and went to sleep! Good thing we hit the sack early, because Megan woke us up at 6:30am! Oh, my dear five-year-old; we are still SO tired from last night. Anyway, we opened our gifts (New down comforter for me. Remote control helicopter thing for Joshua.) and I went back to sleep. Remember! I'm recovering from the flu! My body is tired and I still have no appetite.
Around one o'clock on Christmas Day, we left his moms and came back here to celebrate with his Dad's side of the family. We hit Christmas traffic. All you people driving from Orange County to LA...YOU CRAZY! Pretty much, lots of cute babies and crazy (in a good way!) family members, my momma included. Josh got a camel pack, neck guard, and chest protecter for when he rides. I got a handmade Saint's (like the NFL team) throw blanket. Together, from ALL Christmases we ended up with 5 resturant gift cards, mostly Red Robin (Yuuuumm! Our favorite place!) and pairs of movie tickets.

I gave Joshua a scrapbook of our first year together. It's unfinished because "as long as we're together it will always be a work in progress" (: There are blank pages at the back. I also wrote on a coffee mug for him to take to work. Its bangin'. He also got a MM t-shirt in his stocking.
From him, I got new Uggs *celebration dance goes here*, and a total of three new MM shirts; one was in my stocking. T'was a good Christmas. <3

Christmas at his dad's house. We're both wearing new MM shirts. (:

That Christmas party that we stayed at too late? This was taken, there.
Don't ask me about my New Year's Resolutions. I haven't decided.
xoxo.

First Post in 20 Days!

Holy cow, I can't believe I haven't posted in that long.
New things?

1. It's almost christmas (: less than 20 days! Joshua and I decided on a crayon wallet for his sister as well, we decided on one with her first initial on it. Its Hello Kitty with a big yellow M on it. She'll love it.
Joshua's gift is on hold at the moment, as I was working at my dads house and they're having a party this weekend so they need the table. I get to resume next week. I also bought him a little somethin'-somethin' extra too. I couldn't help it (thank you, Pinterest). I also have to fill his stocking for less than $15.

2. My final is on Tuesday. I'm shitting balls, no lie. Its worth 200 points. I also have a 50 point paper due the same day.

3. I'm making an effort to get healthy and fit. I have a hard time staying motivated but I'm determined this time. I want to be toned. I went to the gym yesterday and today for over an hour each time. Tomorrow CJ and I will be taking a trip to the park to play and I will be hitting the gym after work, if get off at a decent time. Even after two days, Josh has already said he needs to start working out too. I'm excited. I want this to be a journey we take together.
